Take a look at the newest published papers on requirements in the IEEE Software journal. You can do so by going to https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/issues?punumber=52&isnumber=10176167. Click on the most recent years and on one of the issues (e.g., Issue 1). This will bring you to the list of content of the journal issue. Look for the heading "Requirements", which is present in most issues, and take a look at the article(s) in that section. Reading those articles will help you get an understanding of the most recent research in the area of software requirements.
